Methadone Skies is an instrumental-jam 4 piece from Timisoara Romania formed in March 2009. Their music includes a lot of various elements like doom, psychedelic and progressive.
While listening to „Enter the void“, it could happen, that
The :Egocentrics come into mind, the reason for that may be, that both bands are living in the same city.
However MS is absolutely able to create their own independent sound universe. The album is starting with it’s title track which is also the longest one on the record.
It is fantastic to feel the vibes, they are going on here, catapulting the listener into other dimensions. Generally the whole album is highly atmospheric and diversified, best examples are „long’s day journey into night“, „Versus evil“ and the already mentioned „Enter the Void“. But my personal favorite of this record is „Hyperspace“ – the amazing intro riff and the psychedelic jams lead my head into heavy banging!
Great album – awesome band, you better get in touch with these guys and order your copy immediately, to explore the void!
